Joceyn Bradley-Doiron, RN #003984

Certified in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care My name is Jocelyn Anne Bradley-Doiron, and I am a Registered Nurse (RN). My pronouns are She/Her. I currently live in Mermaid, Prince Edward Island, and I am originally from Morell, PEI. Nursing has been my passion for more than 30 years, and I continue to feel privileged to support people through some of life’s most important moments.

I graduated from the PEI School of Nursing in Charlottetown in 1992 and later completed my Bachelor of Nursing through Athabasca University in Alberta in 2019. Throughout my nursing career, I have worked in many areas of healthcare, including Medical-Surgical Acute Care, Mental Health and Addictions, Community Home Care, Palliative Care, Long-Term Care, Infection Prevention and Control, and Disability Adjudication with Veterans Affairs. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the importance of compassionate, holistic care.

In June 2024, I completed my certification in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care, adding specialized foot care services to my nursing practice. I also hold Canadian Nurses Association certifications in Hospice Palliative Care and Gerontology, as well as a Certificate in Collaborative Leadership and Facilitation from the University of Prince Edward Island. These additional qualifications have strengthened my ability to provide client-centered care that focuses on both prevention and quality of life.

What I enjoy most about being a foot care nurse is seeing the immediate impact that foot care can have on someone’s comfort and mobility. Whether I am providing professional toenail trimming, preventative assessments, or specialized diabetic foot care, it is incredibly rewarding to see how much better people feel after a visit. The gratitude expressed by clients and families is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work.

I chose to join Remember When HealthCare because I wanted to work with people who share my belief that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and support while aging in place. I admire the organization’s commitment to helping people remain independent in their homes and communities while receiving the care they need.

My personal approach to care is simple: help when I can and always look for a way to make a difficult situation better. I believe healthcare is about building relationships, creating trust, and helping people achieve the best possible outcomes. For me, success often comes in the small victories—a smile, a thank you, increased comfort, or the opportunity to continue supporting someone over time.

When I am not working, I enjoy cooking, baking, dancing, painting, gardening, nature walks, and spending time outdoors. One of my favourite pastimes is taking long walks on the beach looking for sea glass and spending quality time with my family.

As a nail care nurse, I believe foot health plays an important role in overall wellness, mobility, and independence. Every visit is an opportunity to improve comfort, prevent complications, and help someone continue doing the things they love. I am proud to provide foot care services through Remember When HealthCare and look forward to helping clients feel their best, one step at a time.

Andrea Fritz, LPN #14066

Certified in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care

My name is Andrea Fritz, and I am an Advanced Footcare Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). My pronouns are She/Her. I absolutely love being a nurse. Before becoming an LPN, I worked as a CCA for five years while waiting to get into the nursing program, and I truly believe that experience made me a stronger and more compassionate nurse. I also hold a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology.

I graduated from Acadia University in 2008 and spent a few years working at local wineries, but I always knew I wanted to work in the medical field. That passion eventually led me back to NSCC—first for my CCA, and later for my LPN. During my nursing training, I learned about nursing foot care and immediately knew it was something I wanted to pursue. I went on to complete my Advanced Diabetic Footcare course through Caring Education in Halifax.

I worked on the Surgical Unit at VRH for six years while offering foot care part-time. Working in Surgical made me appreciate the importance of proper foot care even more—I saw people lose toes, feet, and legs in situations that may have been preventable with regular, skilled care. I’ve been providing foot care for six years now, and a year ago I made the decision to go out on my own full-time. One of the things I cherish most about foot care is having the time to truly talk with and connect with my clients.

Being a mom and being a nurse are two of the greatest joys in my life. I’m a proud mom to my 11-year-old son, Ethan. I grew up in Nictaux, NS, and I’ve lived on the North Mountain just outside Berwick for the past 13 years—a place I absolutely love.

I truly believe that foot care can change a person’s comfort, confidence, and quality of life. Every visit is an opportunity to prevent complications, ease pain, and support someone’s independence. Being able to provide this level of care—while taking the time to truly connect with people—means so much to me. I’m grateful every day to offer foot care through Remember When HealthCare and to support clients in feeling their best, one step at a time.

Barbara Geronimo, RN #33595

Certified in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care

My name is Barb, and I am a Registered Nurse (RN) providing foot care through Remember When HealthCare. My pronouns are She/Her. I truly believe that nursing is about connection just as much as it is about clinical skill, and foot care allows me to bring both together in a meaningful way.

I live in Truro and proudly provide foot care services throughout Colchester County. Being able to care for people in my own community makes this work even more meaningful to me.

I joined Remember When HealthCare because I wanted to be part of building something special. As our In-home foot care services continue to grow, I’m proud to contribute to a team that is raising the standard of what compassionate, professional foot care looks like. Being part of that foundation means a lot to me.

What I love most about working as a foot care nurse is that I don’t feel like I’m counting the minutes. When you genuinely enjoy your work, time moves differently. I value the opportunity to sit with clients, chat while I work, and create a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable and heard. Seeing someone smile at the end of a visit — knowing they feel better, lighter, and more confident — is one of the best parts of my day.

Outside of nursing, I enjoy strumming my guitar and singing, reading inspirational books, watching Korean movies, and going for drives wherever the road takes me. I bring that same calm, positive energy into every appointment.

I truly believe foot care is about more than just nails. It’s about dignity, comfort, and helping people maintain their independence. Being able to provide skilled care while also creating genuine connection is what makes this work so meaningful to me. I’m grateful to support clients through Remember When HealthCare and to help them feel their best, one step at a time.

Samantha Goreham, LPN #10139

Certified in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care

My name is Samantha Goreham, and I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). My pronouns are She/Her. I graduated from nursing school in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, in 2001 and have spent more than 25 years working in healthcare. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings, including hospital care, geriatrics, and management roles. These experiences have helped shape my passion for providing compassionate, person-centered care that supports comfort, dignity, and independence.

Helping people feel their best has always been one of the most rewarding parts of being a nurse. In 2010, I expanded my nursing practice by completing my certification in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care alongside my palliative care training. This additional education allowed me to provide specialized foot care services that help people stay active, comfortable, and independent.

As a foot care nurse, I have seen firsthand how regular in-home foot care services, professional toenail trimming, and preventative foot assessments can make a meaningful difference in a person’s quality of life. I am especially passionate about diabetic foot care and helping clients understand the importance of maintaining healthy feet to prevent complications and support overall well-being.

One of the things I enjoy most about being a foot nurse is the opportunity to connect with people. Taking the time to listen, learn about their lives, and provide individualized care allows me to support them in a way that goes beyond the treatment itself. Whether I am helping someone walk more comfortably, addressing a painful foot concern, or simply providing reassurance, I strive to make every visit a positive experience.

I currently live in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia, where I enjoy being part of a close-knit community. Outside of work, I love travelling and spending quality time with my family. Those experiences remind me of the importance of connection, balance, and making the most of every day.

I truly believe that foot care is about more than feet—it is about maintaining independence, preventing complications, and improving overall quality of life. As a mobile foot care nurse, I am grateful for the opportunity to help people feel more comfortable and confident with every step they take. I am proud to provide foot care services and look forward to supporting clients on their journey to better foot health.

Tanisha Rafuse, LPN #14782

Certified in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care

My name is Tanisha Rafuse, and I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). My pronouns are She/Her. I was born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, where I still live today. Caring for others has always been something I felt drawn to, and I am grateful to have built a career that allows me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives every day.

I graduated from the Licensed Practical Nursing program at NSCC in 2020. Before becoming an LPN, I worked as a Personal Care Worker in long-term care beginning in 2018 while completing my nursing education. Since graduating, I have continued working in long-term care, where I have gained valuable experience supporting older adults with compassion, dignity, and respect.

In July 2026, I completed my certification in Advanced and Diabetic Nursing Foot Care. Becoming a foot care nurse has allowed me to combine my passion for nursing with preventative care that has an immediate and lasting impact on people’s daily lives. I especially enjoy seeing how professional toenail trimming, routine foot care, and diabetic foot care can improve a person’s comfort, confidence, mobility, and overall quality of life.

I chose to join Remember When HealthCare because I believe people should have the opportunity to receive quality healthcare while remaining in the comfort of their own homes whenever possible. After working in long-term care for several years, I have seen firsthand the benefits of helping people age in place and maintain their independence. Providing in-home foot care services allows me to support clients where they feel most comfortable while helping them stay active and safe.

My approach to care is centered on respect, trust, and building meaningful relationships. I believe every client deserves to be treated as an individual, not simply as a diagnosis. As a foot nurse, my goal is to help each person improve their quality of life while maintaining comfort, mobility, and independence whenever possible.

One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing the smile on a client’s face after treatment. When someone tells me they feel more comfortable walking, thanks me for helping them, or learns something new about caring for their feet that helps prevent future complications, I know I’ve made a positive difference. Those moments remind me why I love what I do.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my family and making memories with my son. I love being outdoors, whether it’s going for walks, hiking, spending time at the beach, camping, or simply enjoying a sunny day at the park. I also enjoy curling up with my Kindle and treating myself to an iced latte whenever I can.

I truly believe healthy feet are an important part of overall health and independence. As a mobile foot care nurse, I am proud to provide compassionate, personalized foot care through Remember When HealthCare. My goal is to help every client feel more comfortable, confident, and supported—one step at a time.
